Brownfields 2008
Event: Fourth International Conference on Prevention, Assessment, Rehabilitation, Restoration and Development of Brownfield Sites. The meeting provides an international forum to discuss the problems facing the public and private sectors, the engineering and scientific communities in terms of the new land available for development purposes. The Conference will look at long term plans for the productive re-use of properties that have been abandoned or lie idle, in order to satisfy current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own requirements.

3rd Innovation Conference Munich
Event: This conference is a follow up event to the conferences held in s‚Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, 2007, and Stockholm, Sweden, 2006. The aim of this series of conferences is to foster innovation in the participating regions and to improve regional innovation policies by collaborating and sharing knowledge and experience throughout the regions.
The over 100 participants of the Innovation Society Conferences represent an impressive number of European Metropolitan Regions ˆ all of them leading economic and innovative centers in the European Union or, at least, significant economic centers in their home countries. The regions are the very locations where innovation takes place, they are the base of the competitiveness of the European Economy.
Based on the results of its predecessors, the Innovation Conference 2008 will focus on the concrete experience in the regions. The key note speeches will address the functional role of City-Regions in the innovation process, analyse the success and failure of the different innovation strategies and will try to give an answer to what is needed in the regions to make Europe more competitive.
Together with our regional and European Partners we developed four thematic workshops and one project-oriented workshop.

Event: Second International Conference on Harmonisation Between Architecture and Nature. Eco-Architecture ought to be in harmony with nature, including its immediate environs. Decisions have to be taken on ecological grounds concerning locations, siting and orientation, as well as the well-informed choice of materials. Eco-Architecture, wrongly seen by many in its origins as dull, inelegant and mundane, is providing imaginative and expressive solutions driven by a generation of highly creative designs. Event: First International Conference on Underground Spaces ˆ Design, Engineering and Environmental Aspects. Sustainable City and Creativity:
Promoting Creative Urban Initiatives
Event: The aim of the meeting is to analyze in depth principles and practices of the creative city for the formulation of policy lessons and recommendations able to contribute to the building of a creative city.
