Rating Kwame Kilpatrick
Former mayor of Detroit, USA

City Mayors were invited its readers to assess the performance in office of Kwame Kilpatrick, former mayor of Detroit. He resigned from office in September 2008 and will thus no longer be assessed.

RESULTS FOR KWAME KILPATRICK:
Performance index for August 2008: 2.09 out of 10
Based on 243 evaluations received between 1 August and 22 August 2008

Best decisions during time in office:
• L R P: "One without sin cast the first stone!" Mr. Kwame Kilpatrick has done a very good job over hs term. He has made some moral and ethical mistakes and the media everywhere has magnified them. What I do not here about, is negative exposure, where he has actually caused damage to the city. The only damage that I see that he is responsible for,is to his wife and family. Some things people just should not report. Even though he is our Mayor, he deserves to have some privacy. His infidelity is not a problem of the city, but is between him and his wife. People need to drop his personal life and report and talk about something more important like, what are we going to do about our school system, community centers; appropriate housing, resources, and funding for Foster Care, and cutting property taxes. LEAVE OUR MAYOR ALONE!

• Denise B: Continuing to provide the best services to the citizen of Detroit, while under this pressure from the new media.

Worst decisions during time in office:
• DannyMI: The Mayor cares more about his own legal problems than the city. His tragic administration is affecting local, state and national politics. Is, without a doubt, Detroit's worst mayor to date.

• KLH: Thinking he is god

• The infamous text messages
